                                                            Christmas Celebrations

Every country celebrates holidays in a different style. The way we celebrate popular holidays such as Christmas, Halloween, or New Year's may be celebrated a different way in other countries, or it may not even be a holiday at all!

Americans celebrate Christmas in an old fashion way. We gather around singing carols, baking cookies for St. Nick, putting up decorations and Christmas trees gathered around a fire. We sit and wrap presents for our loved ones, exchanging gifts and looking at the giant smile that gleams from their faces.

In China only one percent of people are Christians, so people don't know a lot about Christmas. It is often only celebrated in big cities. In these cities you'll normally only see basic decorations such as Christmas trees, and people dressed as Santa, or as they say, 'Shen Dan Lao Ren'
