Breast Cancer Awareness

Breast Cancer is now the second most common cancer among women in the United States. But millions of women are surviving the disease thanks in part to early detection and improvements in treatment.

Now, millions of people everywhere are surviving breast cancer each day with dramatic improvements in cancer research, and treatment and early detection.

Breast Cancer has the Month of October as its awareness month and a pink ribbon to go along with it.

Recently, in our community one great person has beat breast cancer and is thrilled about it, Mrs. Ferguson is the name and calculus is her game. Although she wasn't here at the end of last school year and missed some of the beginning of this school year she is back to her lively, full of spirit self.

Angie Whitmore is the most recent person in our community that has been diagnosed with breast cancer. With her stage 1 cancer we all can wish her the best of luck with it all and support her with the pink bracelet with her name on it.
