Today, January 22, marks the last day Mrs. Ward will be
teaching theater here at Spring Valley. Due to health issues she is incapable of
continuing as a teacher, ever. Stephanie has pushed through several surgeries,
family problems, and even being permanently blind. She was dubbed Hometown Hero,
has taken several theater groups to the State Competition and even one group to
the National Competition, and has made it this far with her teaching career. To
many she is a role model, to some a hero, and to few, like myself, she is
another mother.
Stephanie will continue helping her current theater troupe
with their competition play every Tuesday and Thursday. Although she will be
leaving our school, she will never leave our hearts and memories.
