Plagiarising

Many people know that plagiarism is happening more often than not on papers throughout the world. Most people believe it to not be a big deal, but the fact is that it is a form of theft. Plagiarism has many forms that may not know about, such as: The Ghost Writer, The Labor of Laziness, The Poor Disguise, and The Self-Stealer. Yes, we all know the names are funny and kind of ridiculous, though the truth of the matter is that these types of plagiarism are real. Many teachers and other people are cracking down on plagiarism because of
new websites that now check for the crime. Many use Turnitin.com, iThenticate.com, and WriteCheck.com to make sure students papers are legit. If you are not writing a quote then you should never ever directly write something from another artcile and claim it as yours or even give a new teacher that you have an old paper with a new title. When writing a paper you should always be honest about your own writing and knowledge, instead of lieing and using someone else's words as your own.

  1. I also think that plagiarism is wrong and that people should be more heads up about it.

  2. I agree with Karlee, but even though people get in trouble but only certain people get in trouble for it. Like authors never really get in trouble for it, they just get a slap on the wrist and get away with it. If authors don't get in trouble for it, why should we? It is good to do your own work, but it really shouldn't be considered a crime if your doing your own work with a couple of lines from the original author. Plagiarism isn't really that BIG of a deal, I believe that yes they should get in trouble for it but NOT getting sued!
