Many people have their own preference regarding what type of turkey meat they prefer. For some, the flaky, thick, and easy-to-pull-apart texture of white meat satisfies their taste. Others, quite oppositely, love the smooth, slender surface of the dark meat of the turkey. It is easy to figure out which of these tastes more suitable to your taste buds, but once you start to worry about your health, you start to wonder which one is better for your health than the other. The white meat is healthier than the dark meat, as the dark meat contains high cholesterol and high fat content which gives it its moist surface. White meat has overall less fat content and lower cholesterol to accompany it with its flaky texture. This goes to show that not everything that is pleasing to our taste preference is healthy for us.
