Sleep

Sleep is good for you, but what if you are not getting enough sleep. Based on your age is how many hours of sleep you should get per night. Unlike older kids and teens babies need to sleep for a few hours during the day and about 8 hours of sleep at night. Toddlers need at least 14-15 hours of sleep per day. They take naps during the day and tend to stay up later during the night. Older kids and teenagers need a healthy nights sleep which usually consists of about 8-9 hours of sleep a night. It is better for teens to get a good nights rest so they can concentrate better in school. Sleep helps the brain and muscles function properly. Sleep is characterized by unresponsiveness to the environment and usually is limited to physical mobility. Humans spend roughly one-third of their lives sleeping. Sleep is an active state for mental and physical restoration. Some people have trouble falling asleep and it is called Insomnia, which is the failure to get enough sleep at nigh and makes them not well rested or energized for the next day. Not getting enough sleep can make you feel sick.
