Scooby-Doo

Scooby Doo was pitched in 1969 as  and was supposed to be a scary TV series on CBS. The producers were afraid it would be too scary for their younger viewers but at the same time really wanted to make the show. So they made Scooby Doo, or Scoobert, the main character instead of the supporting character he was supposed to be. The Mystery Inc. consists of five teenagers; the leader Fred, accident-prone Daphne, bookish Velma, and hungry-hungry slacker Shaggy and their trusty Great Dane, Scooby Doo.

In 1979 Scooby meets up with his family for the first time in the series. Scooby meets up with his hill billy cousins and the most famous of his family, Scrappy Doo.This changed the TV series forever. The writers started looking to the future of the beloved show and started making movies.

Today the show is completely different. The gangs parents change constantly, Scooby's voice is no longer a natural voice over but an auto-tune instead, there have even been several movies that show how the Mystery Inc. got started and they are all different! Personally i just wish they would stay true to the show instead making it a mockery.
